AIvsRank

A dated analyst profile of AIvsRank, Cognitic Labs' measurement product for AI answer visibility, public leaderboards, and private prompt tracking.

Updated Sep 7, 2026 Reviewed Sep 7, 2026 en

AIvsRank is the commercial measurement product next to Geolyze. On 2026-09-07 its public site sold a public-to-private path: browse category leaderboards, run one-time checkers, then pay for a private project that stores prompts, answers, citations, competitors, and an internal report version.

Geolyze files it with AI visibility tools and GEO tools because those measurement objects match GEO work. It is not a classic SEO rank tracker.

Cognitic Labs operates both properties. Geolyze is the education and directory layer. AIvsRank is the product for tracking, benchmarking, audits, and recurring measurement. The AIvsRank homepage told visitors who arrived under the Geolyze name that the current product focus is AI search visibility tracking. That is product-site branding, not a spec for geolyze.org, which remains a static resource site and does not host the paid dashboard.

This profile is an analyst file from official pages captured on 2026-09-07. It is not a hands-on product test. Live dashboard behavior stays unknown.

Best fit

Use AIvsRank when the team already understands GEO and now needs a dated record of what answer engines said. Public leaderboards or free checkers are a reasonable start before a private prompt set.

It is a weaker fit when the buying job is client-ready reporting, extra seats, yearly billing, on-prem, a general API, or a guarantee that every engine on a public leaderboard is included in the cheapest private plan.

What official pages claim

Treat the following as vendor-stated, not Geolyze lab results.

SurfaceOfficial jobEvidence note
Public leaderboardCategory discoverySampled pages claimed 16 engines; index timed out
Free toolsOne-time diagnosticsVisibility checker is not a tracker
Search DemandCSV or GSC export importNative GSC OAuth conflicts across pages; unknown
AI Visibility EvidenceMentions, citations, snapshotsUseful if full answer text is retained
SEO AuditOwned-site URL coverageRollout-gated; live availability unknown
Diagnosis to reportHuman-led loop with caveatsNot ROI proof; reports are internal/print
Customer AgentToken-billed copilot10M / 50M / 250M; capability-gated
Docs APILeaderboard and legacy creditsPricing/FAQ deny public API; general tracker API unknown

Prompt monitoring is the GEO-relevant module: a stored prompt, a dated answer, citations, and competitor context. If a demo only shows a score, ask for the underlying answer.

Platform coverage

Do not read homepage “10+ AI engines” or a 16-engine public collection as the private tracker matrix.

On 2026-09-07, /features named ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews for private monitoring. Public engine pages also named DeepSeek, Grok, and Kimi. Sampled leaderboard collections claimed 16 engines, including Grok, Sonar, and DeepSeek. About used a weaker “4+” counter. Pricing discussed supported engines as a cost driver but published no Starter / Growth / Pro engine matrix.

Whether a paid plan can run every public-leaderboard engine is unknown. Checkout copy was English-first. Chinese, Japanese, and English were product direction, not full multilingual reporting.

Pricing note

Captured 2026-09-07 from the public pricing page as monthly checkout prices.

PlanList priceCapacity shown
Free Trial$0 / 7 days1 project, 50 prompts, daily; Audit/Agent preview
Starter$98/month1×50, daily, 365-day history; Audit 200 URLs; Agent 10M when gated on
Growth$248/month2×150, daily, 365-day history; Audit 500 URLs; Agent 50M when gated on
Pro$498/month5×350, daily, 365-day history; Audit 500 URLs; Agent 250M when gated on

Lite, annual billing, extra seats, and an agency package were not in checkout. Monthly plans were not refundable. A docs credits table still showed a different Starter/Pro matrix with no Growth row; treat that table as conflicting. The pricing page said the contract preview does not write Stripe or production capability state. Re-check live checkout.

Strengths

The plan cards are specific about projects, prompts, cadence, and history. Official pages also separate free discovery from paid evidence, so a one-time checker is not sold as recurring monitoring.

Named measurement fields match a GEO loop: prompts, answers, citations, competitors, and snapshots. Packaging copy is explicit about exclusions: PDF export, client portal, on-prem, ranking guarantees, and third-party SEO vendor sync.

Limitations

Official pages disagree on native Search Console OAuth and public API access. SEO Audit and Customer Agent remain gated, so paying for a plan does not prove those modules are live.

Public leaderboard engine counts are not private tracker coverage. Reports are internal, not client delivery. Dashboard quality, citation accuracy, and checkout-versus-catalog prices were not independently tested.

Example and counterexample

A workable use is an SEO lead who runs the free checker, then uses Growth to store daily snapshots for owned prompts and two competitors, reviewing answer text and citations each week.

A mismatch is buying Starter because a public collection mentioned 16 engines, then expecting Grok, a general API, and a client PDF portal. Features named five private-monitoring engines. Pricing said reports are project-internal.

Alternatives

Geolyze still has only this published vendor profile. Do not treat unpublished draft vendors as live directory entries.

For buying criteria, use Best AI Visibility Tools, Best GEO Tools, and How to Measure AI Visibility. Related terms: AI visibility, prompt tracking, citation tracking.

Operator checklist

  1. Separate one-time diagnostics from recurring private evidence.
  2. List the engines, languages, and markets that matter commercially.
  3. Ask which of those engines run on the plan you would buy.
  4. Confirm checkout price, trial rules, projects, prompts, and history.
  5. Ask whether GSC connect, SEO Audit, and Customer Agent are live or gated.
  6. Ask for a dated prompt, full answer, citations, and competitor mentions.
  7. If reporting is the job, confirm there is no client portal or PDF service.
  8. Re-check live pricing. This note is from 2026-09-07.

Common misunderstanding

AIvsRank markets an AI rank tracker and an AI + SEO workflow. In Geolyze terms, GEO is source readiness for generative systems. Much of the paid product is AI visibility measurement. Buying “GEO software” does not mean the cheapest plan includes multi-engine citation evidence.

Verification note

Official pages were captured on 2026-09-07. Homepage and leaderboard index fetches were partial. Geolyze has not operated a paid AIvsRank workspace for this refresh. Recapture checkout prices, gates, engine lists, GSC connect, and API language before treating any row as current.
